Comprehensive Studies on Shawano’s Economic Trends
The purpose of the Housing market Study is to help the County better understand its housing market and the housing in its communities, including the Villages of Bonduel, Tigerton, and Wittenberg, the City of Shawano, and the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Indians. This study examines the existing balance between housing demand and supply by analyzing data, talking to housing experts, and understanding local residents’ experiences. Based on this examination, gaps in the number, type, and price point of housing units in Shawano County are indicated. To close these gaps and improve housing options in the County and its communities, this study lays out a toolbox of targeted strategies.
